SUMMARY:International Women’s Day Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Reigniting our Movements for Gender Equity \nJoin feminist organizations from across Greater Boston for a morning of inspiration\, connection\, and action at the 28th Annual International Women’s Day Breakfast. The theme for this year is Reigniting our Movements for Gender Equity. The breakfast includes a resource fair with 20+ community organizations\, light bites and coffee\, a keynote\, and a panel. \nThe panel brings together movement leaders to explore how we take action across organizations\, center the communities who need us most\, and sustain ourselves in the work. \nAs women and gender-expansive people continue to bear the brunt of both the attacks and the care labor that follows\, we’ll focus on collective strategies for revitalization\, community care\, and recommitting to the fight for gender equality. Come to reconnect with purpose\, power\, and one another.

SUMMARY:In This Moment: Women of Color Driving Change for Equity
DESCRIPTION:The Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites women of color\, gender-expansive people of color\, youth and young adults\, allies\, and supporters to a powerful\, transformative public convening. \nEnjoy complimentary breakfast\, lunch\, and afternoon snacks with your registration. The evening reception features light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar\, all included. \nAcross Massachusetts and throughout the nation\, women and gender expansive folk—especially Black\, Indigenous\, Asian\, Latinx\, Middle Eastern\, multiracial\, and other women/gender expansive people of color—are driving change. We are shaping civic and political life through public service\, organizing\, advocacy\, movement building\, scholarship\, cultural work\, and transformative leadership. And in this moment\, when women of color—especially Black and brown women—are carrying the disproportionate weight of toxic federal policies\, DEIA rollbacks\, anti-immigration actions\, and chronic divestment in our communities\, our leadership has never been more essential.
